This tape sees several guests who still manage to have their say: Dave East in Pink Eagle, Weezy, also practically honored in the title that echoes freeweezy, Jeremih with his soul hook, Belly with his trap hook, A Boogie with from Hoodie in the final cut and 2 Chainz, decent for his standards in Boiling Water with Lil Wayne, but not Jim Jones who doesnt fully convince here, perhaps uninspired. The production, well, honestly I dont know whos credited in production, but the rhythms are quite simple, minimal, they drag the whole tracks into mediocrity: on these generic trap beats, Juelz spits his out-of-date street-life lyricism with a slow delivery and not very smooth, although he proves to be still capable of bringing points to its team, in some way. And, I think I can say that yes, he still has its own niche audience that will be happy to welcome this tape among its digital shelves. Among the notes of merit: he appropriates of Bloody Mary from the mixtape Dedication 6 Reloaded of the aforementioned Carter best cut here and I appreciate the tribute to Dead Presidents, I despise the fact that he turned it into a beat trap, but what can you do Theyre young. Im not too familiar with his two 2000s albums but from what I remember, they arent anything that special. ![]() As the 2000s came to a close, Juelz was slowly falling off popularity wise. ![]() ![]() His lyricism is alright but there are a few outdatedcorny lines in here. His delivery is outdated and while that is partly in due to his voice, he just doesnt sound good over these beats. Juelz obviously tried to shift to more modern beats but they are average at best. Pink Eagle oddly enough sounds straight out of the golden era of Dipset. The features are pretty meh but Lil Wayne drops the two best verses on here, especially that verse on Bloody Mary. While i have to get both of those Juelz albums and Dipset projects in general, its safe to say that Juelz has struggled to adapt to the time. I know his studio got raided and hes currently in jail, both of which are heavily demoralizing, but I think Juelz needs to hang it up. Final Verdict: Besides Bloody Mary and Boiling Water, nothing here is worth your time. Likewise, dont respond to trollish comments; just report them and ignore them.
